If you have a question about your data, you can reach us at [email protected]. We respond within four weeks.
What data do we process?
If you contact us. Through the contact form on this site we ask for your name, e-mail address, telephone number and your message.
If you subscribe to the newsletter. In that case we process only your e-mail address.
If you use the STRATOR configurator. We record your configuration choices: drivetrain, colour, accessories and background. If you fill in the fields for your own background or for additional requests, we process that free text. If you upload a photo, a logo or a background yourself, we process that image. If you request the impression by e-mail, we process your e-mail address and, if you provide them, your name and company name. We also record your IP address in order to prevent misuse of the configurator.
If you visit our site. We record technical visit data: an encrypted representation of your IP address and your browser, the country you visit us from, the type of device, the pages you view, and the site that referred you to us. Your IP address and browser are converted into an irreversible code; we do not store them as such.
If you make a cookie choice. We record which categories you have allowed or refused, when you did so, and via which button. We do this so that we can demonstrate that we respect your choice.
Why do we process your data?
- To answer your question or request and to contact you.
- To create the STRATOR impression you request and to send it to you.
- To send you the newsletter you have subscribed to.
- To prevent misuse of the configurator and to control its costs.
- To secure, maintain and improve the site.
- To comply with legal obligations.
On what legal basis?
Your consent. For the newsletter, for analytical and marketing cookies, for uploading your own images in the configurator, and for contact by an adviser following your configuration. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Performance of your request. If you request an impression or information from us, we use your data to provide it to you.
Our legitimate interest. For securing the site and preventing misuse of the configurator. You can object to this.
Legal obligation. Where the law requires us to retain or provide data.
The STRATOR configurator
The configurator uses artificial intelligence to create an impression of the truck you put together. Because data is sent to an external party in the process, we explain this separately.
What happens to your choices. Your configuration choices and the text you enter yourself are used to compose the instruction for the image.
What happens to your uploads. If you upload your own photo, logo or background, we use that image solely to create your impression. Your upload is reduced in size and sent along with the instruction. We do not keep your original upload: only the resulting image is stored. Please bear in mind that a photo can contain personal data, for example a number plate or a company name. Do not upload images with identifiable people, and use only images to which you hold the rights yourself.
Who your data goes to. To generate the image we use Google Gemini, a service provided by Google. Your configuration choices, the free text you enter and any uploaded images are sent to Google for that purpose. In doing so, Google acts as a processor.
Transfer outside the European Economic Area. Processing by Google may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. That transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
The result. We store the generated image, together with your configuration choices, so that you can find it again and we can help you if you have questions about your design. The impression is an artistic rendering and not an official configuration; no rights can be derived from it.
Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data to third parties. We share it only with parties that help us keep this site and our services running:
- Google. For generating the AI impression in the configurator, as described above. Processing may take place outside the EEA, with appropriate safeguards.
- Cloudflare. All website traffic, including your IP address, passes through the network of Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks and misuse. Processing may take place outside the EU, with appropriate safeguards.
- Our hosting and e-mail providers. For running the site and sending the e-mails you request from us.
We have concluded data processing agreements with these parties.
In addition, we may share data with IVECO Schouten branches and affiliated companies where this is necessary to answer your question.
Website visits and statistics
We want to know how our site is used, so that we can improve it. To that end we record which pages are visited and which steps visitors take. Your IP address and browser are converted into an irreversible code, so that we use these figures in aggregate and not to track you personally.
You can read which cookies we place and what choice you have in this in our cookie policy.
Retention periods
We do not keep your data longer than necessary:
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Contact requests | Maximum of 24 months |
| Configuration requests including your contact details | Maximum of 24 months |
| Generated impressions | Maximum of 12 months |
| IP address in the configurator logging | Maximum of 7 days |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe; you can do so at any time via [email protected] |
| Visit data and statistics | Maximum of 12 months |
| Cookie choices | Maximum of 24 months |
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- have your data erased;
- have the processing restricted;
- receive your data in a commonly used file format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent given previously.
You can send a request to [email protected]. We respond within four weeks. If we cannot resolve the matter together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Traffic with our site is encrypted, access to our systems is limited to employees who need that access, and we store sensitive data such as IP addresses and browser details in encrypted form. We record login attempts and technical errors so that we can detect misuse.
Changes
We may amend this statement. The most recent version is always available on this page.
